Edu24 is an OMR company that builds its own reading software and supplies proven scanners and answer sheets at fair prices — and we are taking it beyond Korea to the world.
We make exam operations at schools, universities, academies and organizations as simple and accurate as possible. Our benchmark: you should be grading on the day you install.
We are building OMR solutions, on our own technology, that can be used anywhere in the world. As a first step, the Edu24 website is open in Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish and Arabic.
We only claim to build what we actually build, and we supply equipment at fair prices — recommending only what you need, in the quantity you need.
We correct long-standing industry practices with technology and principle
Many vendors rely on foreign products or outsourced development for their reading engines and grading software. With the technology in someone else’s hands, bug fixes and new features wait on the supplier’s schedule, and school-specific exam forms or on-site requests are rarely addressed in time.
Edu24 develops the entire chain in-house — from the engine that reads answer-sheet images to grading, score processing and output. Because we own both the design and the source code, we analyze new answer-sheet formats and field requests ourselves and act on them without waiting on anyone else.
Dedicated readers, software and proprietary sheets are commonly sold as a single bundle. Costs are set by the bundle regardless of what features you actually need, and maintenance and reorders keep you dependent on the same supplier.
We supply genuine manufacturer document scanners at fair prices and recommend only the software edition that fits your setting — school, university, academy or organization. Scanners, software, OMR answer sheets and supplies can each be chosen as needed, so you never pay for an unnecessary bundle.
Systems that run only on dedicated OMR readers must be replaced wholesale when the hardware ages or is discontinued. And because the reader sits idle outside exam periods, it delivers little value for the budget it consumes.
We control manufacturer document scanners directly through TWAIN, the standard scanner interface. Not tied to any one device, you can replace or add scanners freely — and a single unit serves as an OMR reader during exams and an administrative document scanner the rest of the year.
Much OMR software still runs on architectures designed long ago in C and C++. Interface and feature improvements are slow, and getting a new version often means reinstalling or waiting for an on-site visit.
Our reading engine is built with Python, OpenCV and NumPy — the leading tools in image recognition. It corrects sheet alignment using timing marks, lets you tune mark darkness, area and noise sensitivity to each form, and checks for and installs new versions on its own.
Most vendors are built around their home country’s exam practices and provide information only in their own language. Institutions abroad that want to evaluate a solution struggle to find product details or anyone to talk to.
Edu24 presents its website and product information in Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish and Arabic, and handles inquiries from educational institutions and companies abroad directly. Building on technology proven in Korean classrooms, we are expanding our international supply network step by step.
The global OMR market has long been led by major companies in the United States, Japan and Germany.
Edu24 aims to stand alongside them.
We look forward to hearing from schools, universities, organizations and companies in Korea and abroad.
